Just look for the giant skull. If you are a meat lover who likes a little adventure, don’t be put off by the biker-bar feel or the smokey interior of this Atlanta favorite. The Vortex serves what some consider to the be the best burgers in town, with a variety of meat options from bison to vegetarian black bean. A truly unique experience. (18+)
A must see Atlanta institution, The Colonnade has been serving high quality Southern food to hungry Atlantan’s since opening it’s doors in 1927. The recipes haven’t changed much since then, with simple but mouthwatering menu options. The fried chicken is exceptionally good.
Size matters… Gayer than a picnic basket full of rainbows, Brushstrokes and Capulets features over 4,000 sq ft. of gifts, toys, cards, music and porn. Check out their huge CD and DVD collection, with lots of hard to find imports. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Bizarre funk-punk store, The Junkman’s Daughter, is a funky store filled with crazy, sometimes absurd, club wear. Some of it is hard to imagine anyone wearing, but it is all unique and fun (not to mention inexpensive).
