Pat is a California native, a Catholic school graduate and a retiree from the US Air Force. She moved to New Mexico in 1996 where she works as a corporate trainer and Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She is co-President of Albuquerque GLBT Pride and executive producer of Rio Grande Leather.
She discovered the leather community in 1979 but stayed in the background until she retired from the Air Force in 1993. She got involved with the San Jose/Bay Area leather community and has held the titles of Ms San Jose Leather 1995 and International Ms Leather 1995. Her awards include the Pantheon of Leather Woman of the Year award as well as other regional and local awards for her work in the community over the years.
Pat founded LeatherWomen United in 1996 to help local communities organize on a national level around issues such as hunger, women's health and voter registration and to promote networking inside and outside of the leather community. She is currently working on another grass roots project called "Consent Counts" which is seeking to begin the work of decriminalizing BDSM.
Relationship-wise, Pat lives with her two boys and a cast of critters in Albuquerque and is blessed with an incredible circle of friends and family. |
