Leather Leadership Conference, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is seeking bids to
host the annual Leather Leadership Conference. Our goal is for LLC to be hosted
in different cities where active leather communities exist. We require the host
committee to make a concerted effort to form a team that reflects the diversity
of our community and that the involvement be based on diverse individual effort
rather than one or two clubs.
We are happy to discuss potential bids and the bid process at any time.
The deadline for receipt of bids for 2011 is May 15, 2008.
Conferences will be awarded by the LLC Inc Board sixty days after the
respective bid deadlines, thus giving the host locations over twenty-four
months lead time for planning. A typical schedule for the bid submitted in
2008 for a 2011 LLC process might be:
- Local Organizing Committee (LOC) meets to discuss hosting LLC any
time before bid deadline. LOC contacts board with any questions.
- LOC submits bid by May 15, 2008.
- LLC board reviews bids received and contacts potential LOCs
as needed for discussion.
- The board will vote by July 15 to award a LLC hosting contract
to a LOC. The board then sends a press release out announcing the location.
- The location and date of the next conference is announced with
fanfare at the closing of current years conference.
Please see the bid form and
contact the board
if you have any questions.
